Site Supervisor EIC (Electrical, Instrumentation & Control) – Contract
Location: Thameside ERF, Tilbury, Essex, RM18 7SG
Duration: 12-month contract with strong continuity and project visibility
Target Start Date: July 2026
Daily Rate: c.£550 per day negotiable (guideline, depending on experience and suitability)
We are delivering the Thameside Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) in Tilbury and are seeking an experienced EIC Site Supervisor to support a key phase of installation, testing, and commissioning. This is a hands-on, site-based contract role suited to a contractor who can integrate quickly, take ownership, and deliver from day one.
Scope of Role
Take ownership of EIC site activities across electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
Act as the key on-site interface between contractors, site management, and engineering teams
Support installation, testing, and commissioning to meet programme milestones
Drive safe, efficient execution aligned to project timelines and quality standards
Provide practical, on-the-ground leadership to ensure work is delivered right first time
Key Responsibilities
Lead and enforce HSEQ standards, ensuring all works are carried out in line with approved RAMS
Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to maintain progress and resolve issues quickly
Manage defects, punch lists, and completion activities through to close-out
Support testing, commissioning, and fault-finding across EIC systems
Raise and manage site changes, deviations, and interface issues with the wider project team
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in EIC supervision on industrial or energy projects (EfW, power, oil & gas, etc.)
Strong background working in live construction and commissioning environments
Technical Requirements
Experience with HV/MV/LV systems, instrumentation, and control systems (PLC/DCS)
Strong understanding of installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning processes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation
Solid knowledge of HSEQ requirements and safe systems of work
Experience managing interfaces between electrical and mechanical systems
Qualifications & Logistics
Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
SSSTS (or equivalent) – essential
HV switching or authorisation (advantageous)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and site reporting tools
