Electrical and Controls Technician (Licensed Electrical Engineer)

Location: Cabuyao, Laguna Factory

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician / Automation Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of our factory's electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems. This role helps ensure equipment operates safely and reliably to support continuous manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Control Systems

• Troubleshoot and modify PLC and HMI programs.
• Configure and maintain drives, sensors, and instrumentation devices.
• Support automation and control system improvement projects.
• Analyze equipment and process data to improve system performance.

Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment faults to minimize downtime.
• Install and maintain electrical wiring, cables, and communication systems.

Power Distribution Operations

• Operate and maintain substations and power distribution equipment.
• Support maintenance activities related to electrical systems.
• Help ensure a safe and reliable power supply across the factory.

Documentation & Technical Support

• Maintain electrical, instrumentation, and automation records and drawings.
• Prepare maintenance reports and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support during equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.

Safety & Continuous Improvement

• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Maintain good housekeeping of work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and operational performance.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering
• Licensed Electrical Engineer (EE) is preferred.
• Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical, instrumentation, or automation systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, smart drives, and industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, 6-day work week in a factory setting.
