Job Description

You've led teams in demanding environments where attention to detail and decisive action weren't optional — they were survival skills. This E&I Supervisor role puts that same mindset to work in an industrial paper mill where your leadership will directly drive safety, efficiency, and crew performance.

What You'll Do:

  • Supervise and direct all E&I hourly personnel, including scheduling, performance appraisals, and corrective action

  • Build and manage daily/weekly maintenance schedules, assigning work orders to maximize team skill and training

  • Verify that all safety requirements, tools, materials, and equipment are in place before every job kicks off

  • Troubleshoot and oversee maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems, including ABB DCS and Allen-Bradley PLCs

  • Lead safety meetings, conduct field observations, and drive continuous improvement across the crew

Why This Role:

Stable, long-term employment with a sustainable, 100% recycled paper manufacturing operation. Competitive pay, comprehensive fully-paid benefits, significant overtime opportunity, and a clear runway for skill development and career advancement. Entrepreneurial culture where each location operates with a local hometown feel — employees take pride in their work, respect one another, and work closely together to produce high-quality sustainable packaging. Union environment, though this role itself is non-union. Supervisory position that remains OT-eligible on top of strong base pay and bonus potential.

Requirements

  • Must have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.

  • 5+ years of experience in the pulp and paper industry (or equivalent heavy industrial environment); supervisory experience strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of ABB Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Allen-Bradley PLCs

  • Strong electrical fundamentals with solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience on E&I and control systems

  • Experience with electrical systems ranging from 24V to 33,000V

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

  • Self-motivated with a take-charge attitude and strong understanding of personnel management techniques

  • Willingness to be a hands-on supervisor and be on call approximately once every 4–5 weeks (after ramp-up)

Benefits

  • Monthly and quarterly incentives/bonuses

  • 100% company-paid benefits, starting on the 1st of the month following your first day of employment

  • 1 week vacation at 6 months

  • Holiday pay from day 1

  • Employee discounts

  • 401(k) match: 100% of the first 1% and 50% on the next 5% of eligible compensation; automatic enrollment at 3% after 90 days
