Job Description

EHS Technician – Manufacturing (1st Shift)

Wagner is looking for an EHS Technician to support safety and environmental efforts across our manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role where you’ll spend time on the shop floor working alongside our teams to help keep people safe and operations running smoothly.

If you enjoy being out on the floor, solving problems, and working with people, this could be a great fit.

What you’ll do

  • Support day-to-day safety efforts across our facilities
  • Lead and assist with safety training for employees
  • Participate in incident and near-miss investigations and help identify solutions
  • Help maintain programs like LOTO, SDS, and general safety compliance
  • Spend time on the production floor identifying hazards and working with teams to improve safety
  • Assist with basic environmental compliance tasks (waste handling, documentation, vendor coordination)
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership to support a strong safety culture

What we’re looking for

  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, safety, maintenance, or a related field or hands-on experience in a production environment
  • Interest in workplace safety and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities

Nice to have (but not required)

  • OSHA knowledge or safety training experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with basic safety programs (LOTO, incident investigations, etc.)

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Primarily 1st shift (Monday–Friday)
  • Mix of shop floor and office work
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing environment (noise, dust, etc.)
  • PPE required on the production floor

The physical requirements outlined below are essential for successful job performance. While fulfilling job duties, employees frequently need to be on-site to manage projects. Additionally, employees must regularly engage in activities such as sitting, standing, walking, speaking, and listening. Occasionally, employees may need to bend, stoop, balance, and move within the facility. Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Furthermore, employees may occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to twenty-five pounds.
