Job Description

At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can’t afford to fail. We’re more than 80,000 people worldwide creating the industry’s most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.
More than a job: a mission
We’re looking for an EHS Technician to support and oversee Health, Safety & Environment activities in railway signalling projects. This is a hands-on role ensuring safe operations in critical infrastructure, where compliance and prevention truly matter.

You’ll work alongside people who show up with ownership, passion, and dedication - because they know what’s at stake: the journey home.
Your role, your impact

• Prepare and review risk assessments, safety & health plans, and environmental management plans
• Visit worksites, projects, and operational centres to ensure compliance with HSE standards
• Supervise contractors and project stakeholders from an HSE perspective
• Monitor legal compliance in occupational risk prevention
• Respond to emergency situations when required
• Support prevention processes and tools aligned with Alstom standards and ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
• Coordinate training and awareness sessions for employees
• Participate in HSE audits and continuous improvement initiatives
You’ll work with sharp, committed teams across operations, maintenance and engineering - ensuring safety in complex railway environments while contributing to sustainable mobility.
What you bring

• University degree in Engineering and/or Architecture
• Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (all three specializations required)
• Previous experience in similar HSE roles
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards
• Understanding of local legal regulations in HSE
• Experience in construction, industrial or installation environments is a strong plus
• Intermediate to advanced level of English is valued
How success is measured

• Compliance with HSE regulations and internal standards
• Quality and accuracy of risk assessments and documentation
• Effectiveness in preventing incidents and managing risks
• Contribution to audits, training and continuous improvement
• Collaboration with teams and stakeholders across projects
Alstom, a great place to grow

• Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
• Work with advanced safety standards in railway signalling
• Collaborate with transverse teams and supportive colleagues
• Contribute to innovative and impactful projects
• Utilise our cooperative working environment
• Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
• Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning
• Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential

Here, progress isn’t always easy - the scale is massive, the tasks are complex - but the impact is real. Because when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects - that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
