Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Health & Safety person to support our HSE function across construction and renewable energy projects. This role will play a key part in maintaining safety documentation, coordinating compliance activities, and supporting the delivery of a strong culture of care across the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, site managers, and the HSE department to ensure all safety processes, records, and systems are accurate, up to date, and compliant with legal and company requirements.

The successful candidate ensure compliance with safety regulations and company requirements on site, contributing to the overall safety and well-being of personnel.

Requirements

HSE Systems

  • Establish, create and maintain health and safety records, registers, and databases across Ireland and UK operations;
  • Ensure alignment with HSE business strategy;
  • reparation and distribution of safety documentation including:
    • Risk assessments
    • Method statements
    • Project safety plans
  • Toolbox talk records / Safety Alerts
  • Support the administration of incident and accident reporting systems;
  • Support the environmental and sustainability business needs.
  • Track and monitor corrective actions from safety audits and inspections.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure ISO standards are maintained;
  • Ensure all site safety packs are complete and up to date through our EHS Software solution;
  • Maintain training and certification records for employees and subcontractors;
  • Assist with scheduling safety training, inductions, and refresher course;
  • Support the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits;
  • Support the collation of information for project safety files.

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with site teams, contractors, and external training providers.
  • Assist with the organisation of safety meetings and HSE initiatives.
  • Support the rollout of safety campaigns and awareness programmes.
  • Provide general support to the HSE & wider company teams.

On-Site Support

  • Conduct site inspections and audits, ensuring site personnel comply with all safety and company requirements, and report findings to the Head of EHS.
  • Review sub-contractors Methods Statements / Risk Assessments and assist where required.
  • Ensure that site personnel comply with site safety and company requirements.
  • Maintain and assess sub-contractor insurance, safety statements, and method statements.
  • Work closely with site management teams and contractors to foster a culture of care across all sites.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification in a EHS is preferrable.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Experience working in the Construction Sector desired.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite mandatory and familiarity with ESH Software solutions
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well in a team environment.
