What You’ll Do 

Lead Safety in the Field 

• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and all local, state, and federal regulations. 

• Apply and manage Black Box’s Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and the Black Box Buddy Policy. 

• Conduct detailed site inspections to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and verify implementation. 

Be the Go-To Safety Resource for the Team 

• Deliver engaging orientation and safety training programs, including Emergency Response Plan activation and drills. 

• Support team members, supervisors, and subcontractors with safety coaching and real-time guidance. 

• Prepare safety exhibits, presentations, and materials for internal and external events. 

Drive Accountability Through Strong Documentation 

• Maintain accurate safety records including audits, inspections, PTPs, SPAs, MSDS, and more. 

• Complete and submit Site Incident Prevention Plans (SIPPs) per project and customer requirements. 

• Lead investigations of injuries and incidents, prepare reports, and support claims or legal processes when needed. 

Make an Impact in a Fast-Paced Environment 

• Adapt to changing project needs and support extended or weekend hours when required. 

• Serve as a visible safety presence on job sites—including construction environments—working closely with project teams.

• Strong knowledge of OSHA and relevant safety regulations. 

• Excellent communication skills—clear, confident, and approachable. 

• Ability to develop and deliver high-quality safety training. 

• Exceptional organization, follow-through, and prioritization skills. 

• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and digital documentation systems. 

• A collaborative, proactive mindset with a passion for protecting people. 

Required Certifications 

• Must be certified to teach OSHA 10 and  OSHA 30 courses. 

• Must have either a BS in an EHS-related field or a BCSP Certification (CSP, ASP, CHST, or OHST)

Work Environment 

• You will spend time in active construction areas and must be comfortable navigating project sites.
