Objective:
Develop and support the implementation of activities in the safety, health, and environment department. Ensure legal and corporate compliance in matters of environment, safety, and health.
Develop, plan, and execute KraftHeinz Mexico's own standards and ensure employee training in these standards.
Develop and monitor environmental procedures with different government agencies (SEMADET, SEMARNAT, PCYBJ, STPS, etc.) within the established time frames, as well as the relevant studies/analyses for legal compliance.
Activities:
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Develop policies in accordance with corporate and legal requirements regarding safety and the environment, and ensure that staff receive training on these policies.
Maintain and generate EHS evidence in the KHMS system.
Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors through facility visits and monitoring of EHS programs: BOS, near misses, precursors (unsafe conditions), and HIPOS.
Lead investigations into the root causes of incidents (first aid, reportable, and/or environmental), and monitor mitigation plans.
Develop and implement strategies to change the safety culture among staff.
Maintain and oversee emergency response protocols and ensure that certified personnel are available.
Knowledge & Experience
• Environmental/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in same positions.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory legislation on safety, health, and the environment.
• Intermediate-advanced English.
