Job Description

Carlisle Companies Incorporated is a global leader in building products and solutions, serving commercial construction, industrial, infrastructure, and residential markets through its Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) and Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) segments.

This position will be responsible for coordinating the safety activities throughout the facility. This includes being directly responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuance of the facility safety, health policies, and procedures Standard working hours are Monday- Friday 8 am to 5 pm with occasional overtime and weekend hours.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the safety program and initiates steps that will improve the level of safety.
  • Reviews and updates the safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company goals and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Makes sure all new employees are properly trained
  • Reviews safety related documents and narratives such as Safety Committee minutes, inspection reports, forklift inspection checklist, accident investigation reports and near miss reports.
  • Maintains the OSHA 300 logs.
  • Maintains liaison between management and outside regulatory agencies in accordance with Company policy and statutory guidelines.
  • Chairs the safety committee.
  • Keeps records of all employee training, corrections of unsafe conditions, dates and results of workplace inspections.
  • Submits necessary documentation to the corporate office for recordkeeping.
  • Maintains all weekly, monthly, and yearly, safety inspections.
  • Maintains all hazardous material and hazardous material area checks.
  • Maintains the MSDS log book

Required KnowledgeSkills/Abilities:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer operations skills.
  • Basic mathematics skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and plant safety.
  • Knowledge of CPR and First Aid.
  • Knowledge of quality control.

Education and Experience:

  • Required:
  • High School Diplomarequired
  • Three Years of Safety Experience
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification
  • Preferred:
  • Associates Degree or Technical College Degree

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing Plantenvironment where the plants may be dirt, dusty, and hotter/colder than office settings
  • Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Occasional overtime or weekends required
  • Limited travel for meetings.

Physical Requirements:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used:

  • Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor.
  • Safety toe shoes (steel/composite) on the production floor.
  • Other PPE as defined by management within assigned department.

Per the state’s Wage Transparency Act, the range for this position is $68,000-$95,000. Actual salary could be greater based on education, experience, and other qualifying skill sets.
