To serve as an individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance.

What you will do:

  • Enable our business partners to build a strong and proactive EHS Culture, aligned around Safety Driven (care, learn and prevent serious injuries).

  • Regularly collaborate and proactively coach teams in the factory (operations) as well as various support groups within the organization.

  • Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from, elimination of or proper management of those hazards.

  • Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.

  • Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance and with company standards, government regulations, customer requirements and adequacy relative to local conditions.

  • Conduct facility audits to identify unsafe conditions and recommend collaborative corrective actions with employees.

  • Partner in incident learning teams, contributing factors, and corrective action development.

  • Maintain EHS systems in alignment with division and enterprise, including incident reporting systems and support leading and lagging indicator tracking.

  • Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and pre‑task planning reviews.

  • Assist with industrial hygiene activities such as air monitoring, noise surveys, exposure assessments and mitigation plans.

  • Develop and enhance Risk Assessments for standard work tasks.

  • Maintain accurate EHS records including training logs, inspection findings, and regulatory documentation.

  • Prepare reports for internal leadership and regulatory agencies as required.

  • Champion and conduct site level environmental activities and permitting, e.g. (air, water, waste) in collaboration with business environmental manager

Degree in EHS or related field required.

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.

Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
