Position Summary:
Responsible for leading and managing the organization’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, customer requirements, and company standards. The role oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS policies, procedures, training programs, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement in workplace safety, health, and environmental performance.
The incumbent will serve as the Management Representative and lead the EHS team during internal and external audits, surveillance audits, and compliance assessments, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, RBA, and customer audits. The role also partners closely with cross-functional teams to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with Department Managers to promote and drive a strong Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) culture across the facility.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks within the workplace.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to perform Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC) to effectively manage workplace and operational hazards.
• Develop and implement EHS inspection policies, procedures, and schedules, including routine facility inspections and foreign workers’ dormitory audits in compliance with company objectives, local regulations, RBA Code of Conduct, and applicable health and safety requirements.
• Establish and maintain health and safety procedures for all operational areas within the organization.
• Prepare and coordinate EHS training programs in accordance with regulatory, customer, and audit requirements, covering emergency response procedures, workplace safety, and other related topics.
• Coordinate and ensure timely renewal of certifications, licenses, and audits, including ERT certification, Fire Certificate, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other related compliance requirements.
• Monitor compliance with established safety procedures and ensure prompt corrective actions are taken to eliminate unsafe acts and unsafe conditions within the facility.
• Prepare inspection and audit reports to document findings, observations, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct buy-off inspections for new machinery and equipment to ensure all required safeguards are properly installed, machines are free from defects, and safe operating and maintenance procedures are established.
• Coordinate and lead periodic EHS Committee Meetings and Annual Management Review sessions.
• Plan and implement safety awareness initiatives, including training materials, safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and periodic refresher training programs to enhance employees’ EHS knowledge and awareness.
• Work closely with relevant departments on workplace accident and injury investigations, corrective actions, and 8D reporting.
• Manage the Security Team and oversee facility security control measures.
• Prepare monthly and annual EHS performance reports, work summaries, and departmental plans for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Requirements
• Possess a Degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, or equivalent qualification.
• Certified Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with a valid DOSH Green Book.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant EHS experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or similar leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
• Experience in managing ISO 45001, ISO 14001, RBA, and customer audits.
• Meticulous, analytical, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to manage complex issues independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong leadership capability with the ability to drive a proactive safety culture across the organization.

Mon to Fri, 8am to 5:45pm
