EHS Protocol Operative Job Profile

Controlled Environments Company (CEC) is a single source supplier and solutions provider to customers operating in critically clean and controlled environments.

We are looking for an individual who can effectively monitor EHS activities, enforce site standards, understand and implement procedures and expectations, communicating clearly with all site personnel, colleagues, managers, and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce EHS activity and standards
  • Monitor cleanroom and housekeeping protocols
  • Attend customer, trade and vendor meetings on behalf of CEC
  • Auditing of clean areas to ensure cleaning standards are achieved and upheld
  • RF survey support – part of the Equipment sign off program
  • PPE EHS support – review of tasks/area for PPE needs – PPE hazard assessment
  • Conduct regular audits (area/program specific) to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and internal standards. Analyse data, identify trends and define focus areas.
  • Coordinate safety sign ordering – to ensure in line with local legalisation
  • Support ventilation and hearing conservation assessments to meet site program requirements
  • Act as a content expert on low level safety/industrial hygiene topics like PPE, safety signs etc
  • Document and distribute Weekly reports, rollups and KPIs
  • Manage several different IT systems to support the on-site program
  • Liaise with and support Customer EHS teams to ensure high level of customer service
  • Retain flexibility to react to ever changing customer requirements
  • Recognise, document, and escalate project issues or trends
  • Deal with customer enquiries by phone, email and in person
  • Assist with training co-ordination for new hires

Skills & Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A foundational qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) is desirable
  • Excellent communication, organisational and administration skills
  • Strong IT/systems experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office package such as Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Previous experience using Power BI or similar package
  • Communication skills to develop professional working relationships with site personnel, colleagues, management & customers
  • Good attention to detail and high concentration level
  • Strong work ethic with willingness to take full ownership of the role
  • Ability to work on own initiative and the flexibility to meet a variety of challenges
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time efficiently
