About The Role

Our Product Stewardship APAC team helps ensure compliance with global chemical regulations while enabling efficient business operations through strong EHS master data management and digitalization. As an EHS Master Data Management Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining high-quality EHS data and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support compliance, product documentation, reporting, and operational excellence.

Main Task

  • Maintain and manage EHS master data in SAP, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance across business processes. Ensure high data quality by identifying, analyzing, and resolving data inconsistencies, defects, and system-related issues.
  • Serve as the APAC focal point for SDS and related product safety documentation processes, supporting continuous improvement and alignment with global standards. Including reviewing and validating SDS or other supporting documents through the internal system on master data changes before release into SAP systems.
  • Drive process optimization, standardization, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and data reliability.
  • Support data lifecycle management, mass updates, data migration activities, and troubleshooting of EHS master data processes.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of GHS (Globally Harmonized System) rulesets, staying updated on the latest regulations and their implications for product labeling and safety will be a plus.
  • Provide reporting, training, and guidance to business users while supporting regional and global master data initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Stewardship, Regulatory, Supply Chain, IT, and business stakeholders to support compliance and operational excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Management, Data Management, or related discipline.
  • Well-versed in IT applications, experience with SAP EHS (product safety or chemical legislation area, coatings, fine chemical industrial relevant experience), SAP MDM, SAP S/4HANA, or similar enterprise systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Material Master Data Management and EHS Specification Master Data Management concepts. Knowledge of EHS Specification, Material, Substance, SDS, and Label data.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, reporting tools, or data quality dashboards will be a plus.
  • High level of commitment and teamwork skills, flexibility, customer orientation, as well as independent and structured work approach.
  • Clear and authentic communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, translate technical information clearly.
