About the Role:

The EHS Manager leads facility-specific EHS plans that support PepsiCo’s overall safety and environmental objectives.

Reporting to the Service Ops EHS Manager, this field-based role supports Frito-Lay operations by identifying, evaluating, and controlling EHS risks across Distribution Centers, Product Exchange Centers, omni-channel facilities, and GES Warehouses.

This role serves as an EHS subject matter expert, implementing the Supply Chain EHS Annual Operating Plan within the assigned region. Responsibilities include supporting regulatory compliance, incident investigations, post-incident management, training, consultation, data analysis, and risk-based prevention programs.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will engage and influence regional teams, strengthen EHS capabilities, and help develop practical solutions, policies, and procedures that improve safety performance and support a strong prevention-focused culture.

This position will require the candidate to live locally to Easton Pennsylvania and have the ability to travel to the East Market of Service OPS in the NorthEast Region up to 50% (dependent on business needs and fluctuation).

  • Implement, execute, ensure compliance with PepsiCo’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Lead implementation of program elements/tools to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local OSHA/EPA regulations and applicable company requirements (e.g., Working at Heights, Powered Industrial Truck, Machine Safety, etc.).
  • Interface with regulatory bodies (OSHA, EPA, State/Local Regulators).
  • Provide technical and regulatory expertise in developing EHS continuous improvement processes and determining necessary follow-up activities associated with EHS incidents, agency inspections, and/or internal/external audits.
  • Support the development of strategic EHS annual operating plans, assess field location performance in relation to the EHS vision/plan, and determine necessary course corrections to achieve the plan.
  • Conduct periodic location visits and EHS activities such as training, auditing, and assessing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory agency requirements, Frito-Lay and PepsiCo EHS procedures.
  • Lead incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans.
  • Understand key performance indicators, benchmark amongst Frito-Lay locations to determine target location opportunities.
  • Work closely with Zone Operations Managers, Market Ops Directors, Regional EHS Managers, and other key HQ Leadership to reduce EHS risk across the organization.
  • Develop and perform risk assessments and assist in the implementation of effective physical and/or behavioral control measures.
  • Identify unsafe equipment operations and conditions while demonstrating knowledge of appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure that required regulatory permits are acquired, that reports are submitted to regulatory agencies, and any site permit conditions (e.g. sampling, recordkeeping) are met.
  • Achieve annual targets for incident frequency, severity and related cost reductions.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $80,200 - $134,250.

  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree(Required), preferably in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment as an EHS professional.
  • Knowledge and experience with EHS Management systems and their deployment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of and ability to articulate EHS requirements and regulations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking skills and presence in meetings and training environments.
  • Demonstrates professional maturity and the ability to act as a change leader.
