What this job involves:

The EHS Manager must be a team player and work with other members of the team to meet all key performance indicators as set out in the management contract.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Assist the APAC HSSE Lead by coordinating and being the primary point of contact for HSSE requirements and activities for site various sites in APAC.
  • Communicate HSSE needs and results to the Account Leadership Team.
  • Play a lead role in the continued development and refinement of JLL’s HSSE culture and training programs on the account.
  • Provide technical expertise, strategic leadership, and support for all various JLL facilities on HSSE regulatory compliance issues and questions.
  • Develop and maintain the account training matrix
  • requirements; develop account specific HSSE training as required and provide training/presentations as needed on specific topics applicable to the account employees.
  • Collaborate with other JLL HSSE leads to learn best practices and share best practices developed on client account for benefit of all firm clients.
  • Manage and provide HSSE oversight to the trending factors and indicators to management on a pre-determined basis. Provide JLL Team and Client with current and historical HSSE data to perform to all KPI metrics.
  • Ensure that HSSE accidents, injuries, near misses/good catches, and other events are captured, and the data is managed and reported. Manage the OSHA 301/300 recordkeeping requirements for the account.
  • Participate with operating sites as needed to lead or support investigations of serious safety events, the analysis of root cause(s), support/track the implementation of effective corrective actions, and prepare communications to share the lessons-learned from such events across the account operations.
  • Maintain account HSSE procedures, documentation and records.
  • Support ISO 14001& 45001 management system certification activities.

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

  • GMP/GxP experience is advantange.
  • General Industry OSHA certifications desired (CHM, CSHM, CIH, CSP, CEP, etc.)
  • Practical working knowledge of Health and Safety tools and techniques, ideally within a Facilities Management environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant standards, legislation, codes of practice, guidance and operating procedures.
  • Presentation skills to deliver specialist advice at all levels and to deliver localized training to staff as required.
  • Strong organizational skills, information management proficiency and collaborative management style are needed.
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal skills in order to establish credibility with colleagues and senior management.
  • Ability to work through and identify the root cause of any problem.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out an audit and gather objective evidence through observation, interview and sampling of documents and records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or relevant field.
  • 8+ years of experience.
  • Relevant professional certification(s)
  • Six Sigma or LEED certifications are advantage.
