EHS Country Manager at Primark

As Belgium EHS Country Manager, you'll lead the Environmental, Health & Safety agenda across our Belgian business, partnering with senior leaders, store management teams and central functions to drive compliance, influence decision-making and build a strong safety culture.

Working across all Belgian stores, you'll collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders in both French and English, while helping to deliver consistent EHS standards across the business. This is a highly visible role where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on both our people and our business.

What You'll Be Doing

As Belgium EHS Country Manager, you'll provide strategic leadership and expert guidance on all Environmental, Health & Safety matters across our Belgian operations. Working closely with store teams, senior leaders and central functions, you'll ensure legal compliance while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the EHS strategy and objectives across all Primark stores in Belgium.
• Co-lead and organize the CPPT / CPBW monthly meetings and act as the Secretary of these meetings
• Acting as the trusted advisor on all Environmental, Health & Safety matters.
• Ensuring compliance with Belgian legislation and Primark policies, including fulfilling the responsibilities of Prevention Advisor.
• Supporting, coaching and influencing store leadership teams to continuously improve safety and environmental performance.
• Leading workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Monitoring EHS performance, analyzing trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Building strong relationships with employee representatives, external authorities and key business stakeholders.
• Supporting the delivery of Primark Cares and wider environmental initiatives and global EHS objectives and requirements.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for an experienced EHS professional who combines technical expertise with strong leadership and influencing skills.

You'll have:

• A recognized qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.
• A degree in Occupational Health & Safety and/or a Level 1 Prevention Advisor certificate, or a Level 2 or 3 Prevention Advisor qualification with the willingness to obtain a Level 1 Prevention Advisor certificate.
• Experience leading Environmental, Health & Safety within a multi-site organisation.
• Retail or FMCG experience would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian Health & Safety legislation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• The ability to influence and build credibility at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Dutch and English. French is highly desirable.
