
As EHS Governance Manager, you will be part of the EHS Organization, and your role will be to support the Regions in a global environment.
The EHS Governance Manager is responsible for defining, deploying, and maintaining an effective governance framework across Projects, Services, and Manufacturing activities within the Grid Systems Integration business line in our Electrification business segment.
The role ensures alignment with business strategy, compliance with internal policies and external regulations, risk management, and consistent execution of standards across regions and operational entities.
This position plays a key role in driving transparency, accountability, and performance while supporting operational teams in delivering safely on time, on cost, and in full compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Define, implement, and continuously improve the governance model across Projects, Services, and Manufacturing, including roles, decision rights (RASCI), and escalation paths
Ensure compliance with internal policies (EHS, Quality, Finance, Ethics, Cyber, Sustainability) and applicable local regulations
Lead Business HQ audits for Projects & Services and Manufacturing, including subcontractors and partners; track findings through to closure
Establish governance KPIs and dashboards; coordinate governance forums (management reviews, steering committees, gate reviews)
Act as key interface between Business Leadership, Operations, Functions (Finance, EHS, Quality, Legal, HR), and Regions
Coach and support leaders and operational teams on governance requirements and compliance standards
Identify gaps and inconsistencies in governance practices; lead continuous improvement initiatives
Support inspection programs across sites and monitor customer satisfaction surveys
Authority to stop any activity in case of immediate danger; coordinate emergency response per Site Director direction
Required Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related EHS technical discipline (accredited institution; Country EHS Accreditation required)
Experience:Major EHS experience in Projects, Services, Manufacturing, or Operations within an industrial or energy environment, with strong experience in governance, project management frameworks, or risk management
Mobility:Willingness to travel internationally up to 60%
Desired Characteristics:
Solid understanding of matrix organizations and complex international environments
Strong knowledge of fundamental health & safety programs (Lockout-Tagout, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, Process Safety Management)
Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar certification standards
Strong influencing, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills across diverse audiences
High integrity, independence, and accountability
Additional languages (French, Spanish, German) a plus
