To support the safe delivery of Arabelle Solutions' scope of works, including Tier 2 contractor activities, by ensuring full compliance with site Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards.


The role acts as the named point of contact for EHS matters within assigned work packages and provides support to the CDM/EHS Manager in implementing, maintaining, and improving site management systems and documentation.


The position also supports the preparation, review, and implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).


Key Responsibilities


Conduct regular site inspections (target: 66% field-based presence), recording findings via project systems (e.g. Insight), identifying root causes and raising corrective actions
Intervene where site activities do not meet EHS requirements or approved RAMS
Promote a positive safety culture through reporting of good practices and at-risk behaviours
Ensure personnel are provided with appropriate EHS information, instruction, and guidance
Support coordination of EHS activities across contractors and operational interfaces
Assist in ensuring compliance with site EHS Plans, standards, and procedures
Review internal and Tier 2 contractor EHS documentation
Support implementation of Zero Harm initiatives and Life Saving Rules
Deliver inductions, Toolbox Talks, and safety briefings
Provide practical EHS advice to prevent injury, plant damage, environmental harm, or security risks
Assist with emergency preparedness planning and implementation in line with NNB standards
Support incident investigations and ensure actions are tracked to closure
Oversee effective implementation of Work Authorisation and Permit to Work processes
Conduct scheduled audits of site activities and Tier 2 contractors
Support implementation and improvement of EHS performance metrics
Attend coordination meetings and daily activity briefings to promote safe behaviours
Lead or support safety campaigns aligned to site initiatives
Plan workload in line with operational schedules and risk profile


Key Performance Indicators


Completion of inspections and audits in line with the Assurance Schedule
Ongoing compliance with customer EHS KPIs
Delivery of regular Toolbox Talks across work scope
Participation in emergency preparedness drills in line with employer requirements


Mandatory (MUST)

Hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent;
Be a holder of a current CCNSG Safety Passport (may be completed post offer for suitable candidates)
Be competent with the Microsoft packages - Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point;

ISO45001 Internal Auditor Certificate;
First Aid at Work;
Recognised Accident/Incident Investigation Training;
Manual Handling Trainer;
PASMA
IPAF


Professional Experience

Mandatory (MUST)


Minimum of 5-year's EHS experience on large scale construction sites, preferably in the power construction or oil & gas industry;
Strong technical knowledge of EHS working practices on a construction site;
Strong technical knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation;
Able to navigate in an multi-cultural environment;
