Job Description

A high-profile family living in Kuwait is seeking a highly professional female house manager who will be working closely with the female principal.

The candidate should have proven experience working with UHNW and high-profile families and hold strong household management skills as they will oversee approximately 30+ employees including kitchen, garden, security, and housekeepers.

The schedule is to be confirmed but will be 6-days per week and 8-hours per day.

The candidate will be provided with their own private accommodation which is connected to the house and includes a living area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.

The ideal candidate will be warm and compassionate with a firm but fair approach.

This position is for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and manage all household staff
• Work directly with the chef, meeting weekly to discuss menus
• Develop daily and weekly staff schedules, including task rotations
• Review, revise, and enforce operational SOPs and manuals
• Coordinate and approve staff leave requests and manage annual vacation planning to ensure continuity of service.
• Plan and manage for catered events involving UHNW and high-profile - should have experience of hosting, greeting, organizing, and protocols
• Oversee household purchasing and procurement
• Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date inventory of all household assets
• Report all household-related expenditures on a monthly basis
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, service providers and suppliers
• Review and approve all invoices, payment requests, and expense claims
• Source and manage qualified contractors, technicians, and specialist service providers for routine servicing, emergency repairs, and other tasks
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs
• Ensure all safety systems (fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, CCTV, security gates) are regularly tested, compliant with local regulations, and fully operational

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience overseeing household staff
• Excellent references from previous employers
• Experience creating systems and processes to help homes run efficiently
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in managing staff, including hiring and firing
• Proactive and forward thinking
• Experience in creating household and staff manuals
