Egypt Procurement Associate Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Support procurement projects within the Landside and Maersk Container Logistics (MCL) in Egypt.
• Realize service sourcing, contract & bid procedures, supplier selection.
• Manage supplier performance reporting and purchasing efficiency & streamlining optimizations.
• Support and participate in negotiations for the Logistics & Services (L&S) category.
• Assist implementing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between Maersk operations and its suppliers.

Collaboration & Alignment:

• Work closely with the Egypt Procurement Manager and internal/external stakeholders to ensure costs, commercial needs, and operational execution are aligned.
• Engage with the local organization, counterparts in other Areas, and procurement stakeholders across the EME.
• According to authority level, participation in negotiations for the L&S category and assisting in the implementation of Service Level Agreements between Maersk’s operation and its suppliers.

Data & Digital Skills:

• Conduct strong analytical assessments on spend, cost, and vendor data.
• Utilize digital capabilities to manage online tenders using Maersk platforms.

Who We Are Looking For

• Logistics (operational/financial/CX) experience (preferably)
• Analytical approach - ability to work with complex data and prepare reporting
• Understanding of financial figures and terms
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills
• Digital capabilities, familiar with digital applications, Gen AI etc.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
