One full-time position | Located at the main Livestock Exchange Campus (LSX 30th & L) | Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Job Duties
The Program Assistant will act as an ambassador for the Enrollment and Financial Services department, providing excellent customer service to all clients who come into the office. Primary responsibilities include clerical tasks, program screening, client advocacy and education, meeting logistics, and supply management.
- Greets and assists all clients to the office, providing excellent customer service to everyone.
- Answers incoming telephone calls and routes as needed.
- Educates clients on the various programs and services provided through the Enrollment & Financial Services department.
- Provides initial financial program screening on all clients. Completes renewals and enrollments for programs in which training has been provided. Directs clients needing more complex program assistance to the appropriate staff members within the department.
- Provides client advocacy to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, among other entities, while appropriately documenting all communication in the Outreach Database.
- Participates in community outreach events as assigned.
- Assists the Enrollment & Financial Services Supervisor with reporting functions and special projects.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification as an Application Counselor (CAC) preferred within the first 6 months of employment.
- One or more years of customer service experience preferred.
- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with and relate to both clients and coworkers with warmth and respect.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, but also function well in a team environment.
- Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
