Job Description

Duties:
  • Perform in-patient and out-patient neurodiagnostic tests including EEG.
  • Achieve high level quality recordings and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of tests performed.
  • Assist with statistical data and quality assurance.
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain adequate supplies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize use of available resources.
  • Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal.
  • Ensure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal’s Harassment-Free Workplace policy. 
 Qualifications
  • Current certification with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (CBRET) required OR are eligible for certification.
  • Diploma from a recognized Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist Program.
  • Minimum of three (3) years recent practical experience in EEG is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a dynamic team.
  • Demonstrated effective decision making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care skills and service excellence attitude is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills combined with effective problem solving abilities.
  • English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression.  Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
