GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Assists with various procedures, including EEGs, NCSs, EMGs, and brainstem evoked potentials to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders. This position is primarily based out of the Neurology Clinic with the ability to perform studies on the inpatient side of the hospital.

1. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with BMC policies and procedure

3. Participates actively in creating a positive and harmonious work environment.
4. Meets/exceeds competency criteria specific to the task/duties of the position.
5. Completes all mandatory training within defined timeframe.
6. Demonstrates ability to consistently meet patient satisfaction, supervisor requests, committee responsibilities, and Performance Improvement data collection on a consistent basis.
7. Demonstrates commitment to career growth and competence through completion and documentation of all competencies, unit specific skills. annual HealthStream, in-services and corporate compliance.
8. Demonstrates consistent ability to meet Personal Performance Summary Standards.
9. Attends unit/staff meetings.
10. Demonstrates full compliance with patient confidentiality and within HIPAA standards.
11. Continually demonstrates courteous and professional relations with patients, staff and others and responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
12. Maintains appropriate continuing education to remain proficient in characteristic duties as new equipment and standards arc introduced.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Associate's Degree or equivalent education and experience.

2. Graduate of an accredited NDT program with certification (CAAHEP or Non-CAAHEP) or certification eligibility in electrodiagnostic testing.
3. Ability 10 proficiently write read, write and speak English.
4. Ability to interact with positively with individuals.
5. Ability to successfully pass Basic Life Support Certification-Health Care Provider.
