Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Test Planning & Validation

• Define and manage hardware test activities for ECU development projects.
• Analyze EE requirements and derive validation and integration test strategies.
• Develop test plans, test schedules, and validation coverage.
• Create hardware test cases based on requirements and design specifications.
• Execute functional, electrical, integration, and board-level validation tests.
• Generate, maintain, and review test reports.

Hardware Debugging & Analysis

• Perform board-level hardware debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Investigate and resolve hardware and software-related failures.
• Support design teams in troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Communication & System Testing

• Validate and troubleshoot communication interfaces, including:
• CAN
• LIN
• SPI
• FlexRay
• Support hardware integration and ECU-level testing activities.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with hardware, software, system, and project teams.
• Track validation progress and communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Participate in technical reviews and project discussions.

Technical Skills

Electronics & Hardware

• Basic understanding of EE architecture and hardware design.
• Knowledge of:
• Buck Converters
• LDO Regulators
• MOSFET & BJT Switching Circuits
• Passive & Active Filters
• Operational Amplifiers (Comparator Applications)

Hardware Testing & Debugging

• Hardware board-level testing and validation.
• Hardware-software fault debugging.
• Test case creation, execution, and reporting.

Communication Protocols

• CAN
• LIN
• SPI
• FlexRay

Lab Equipment

Hands-on experience with:

• High Definition Oscilloscopes (HDO)
• Current & Differential Voltage Probes
• Spectrum Analyzers
• Function Generators
• Programmable Power Supplies
• Digital Multimeters
• Thermocouples & Data Logging Equipment
• Lauterbach Debugger
• Renesas Debugger Tools

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• M.Tech/M.E./M.S. in related disciplines will be an added advantage

Additional Information

• 4-5 years of experience in electronics hardware testing and validation.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in hardware board-level testing.
• Strong debugging skills at the hardware and software interface level.
• Experience in test case development, execution, and reporting.
• Familiarity with automotive standards:
• ISO 26262
• AEC-Q101 / AEC-Q102
• CISPR 25
• ISO 16750
• ISO 7637-2
• ISO 11452
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective team player with cross-functional collaboration experience.
