Job Description

• $33 to $39/hr (depending on experience) + super + tax benefits + School Holiday pay!
• Working 5 days per week 8am - 4pm.
• 6month maternity leave contract.
About the Opportunity
Uniting St Luke’s Preschool Belmont North is looking for an amazing Diploma trained Educator to join our team for a full time 6 month maternity leave position (with paid shutdown in the July and October school holidays) and the possibility of part time in term 1 2027.
This position will be across both our preschool rooms over the week and will involve programming for children and the room.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to set up inviting learning environments, have strong documentation skills and a sound understanding of the learning cycle and the EYLF.
You will be coming in halfway through the year which we acknowledge can be difficult, however you will have the amazing support of your whole team. Uniting St Luke's is a Child Safe Service.
You must be able to clearly communicate how the Child Safe standards both impact and guide children's learning and sense of safety.
We are looking for someone with a passion for slow pedagogy, someone who is organised yet flexible and is confident in building relationships with children, families and community.

What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!
Your care work may include:
• Contribute to the development of programs which reflect the approved learning framework.
• Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community.
• Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
• Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes
Who we’re looking for
• 2 years experience Diploma in Early Childhood Education (essential), with previous experience working at a Diploma Level in an early learning service.
• A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Understand the National Quality Framework and EYLF
• Current Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting, CPR,
• Child Protection certificate (CHCPRT025).
• Completion of mandatory national child protection training (GECCKO).
• Strong experience supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of children.
