Are you passionate about making a real difference in children's lives? Do you love creating fun, engaging experiences that help kids learn and grow? We're looking for a fantastic OSHC Educator to join our wonderful team on a casual basis!

What You'll Be Doing

As our OSHC Educator, you'll be the heart of our before and after school care program. Every day will bring new adventures as you:

  • Create exciting and educational activities that spark children's curiosity and imagination
  • Provide a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported
  • Help with homework and encourage learning in a fun, relaxed setting
  • Organize games, arts and crafts, sports, and other engaging activities
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members
  • Support children's social and emotional development through meaningful interactions
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
  • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times

What We're Looking For

We'd love to meet someone who brings:

  • A genuine love for working with school-aged children
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or commitment to complete training)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for planning engaging activities
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Strong teamwork abilities and a collaborative spirit
  • Reliability and punctuality for casual shifts

About The Royal Children's Hospital

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
