Our second store, Nick Rail Music/Agoura Hills opened in 1998, followed by stores in Santa Clarita, Redlands, San Diego and Bakersfield. Our most recent store addition was in 2020 in Camarillo, an exclusive orchestral strings shop: Penrose Strings by Nick Rail Music. We are the largest Yamaha band instrument dealer in the state, with franchises for virtually all other major name brands. Our percussion department covers concert, marching and drum set; we also carry acoustic guitars, electric guitars and basses, portable keyboards, sound reinforcement, and related products. Our stores offer accessories for all departments; our sheet music department specializes in instrument methods and jazz. Our 7 repair shops expertly service thousands of instruments annually for school districts, individual customers and professional players alike.
Nick Rail Music provides service as needed to school music programs throughout southern California; representatives visit band directors and band students weekly in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Kern, San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, and San Diego counties.
Our rental program is geared toward the beginning student at the elementary or junior high school level. We rent new or used major name-brand instruments, and support students from their first to their final instruments.
