Position Details

Contract Type: Full-Time (24-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Contract Duration: 24 Months (August 2026 – July 2028)

About the role

BLR WORLD is hiring an Educational Programming Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of educational programmes that inspire learning, foster cultural appreciation, and enhance visitor engagement at Al Shindagha Museum. Reporting to the Programs Development Manager, the Educational Programming Coordinator will ensure that all educational activities, workshops, guided learning experiences, school programmes, and curriculum-based initiatives are delivered to the highest standards and aligned with the entity's educational objectives.

The role is responsible for coordinating educational content, supporting programme development, preparing learning resources, liaising with facilitators and operational teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of educational experiences for schools, families, universities, community groups, and other audiences. Working closely with the Programs Development Manager, Training Manager, Schools & Groups Coordinator, and Operations Lead, the Educational Programming Coordinator will contribute to creating engaging, inclusive, and culturally authentic learning experiences that support lifelong learning and strengthen community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Educational Programme Coordination

  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of educational programmes, workshops, guided learning experiences, school activities, and curriculum-based initiatives across the museum.
  • Support the Programs Development Manager in implementing the annual educational programming calendar.
  • Ensure educational activities are aligned with museum content, learning objectives, and Dubai Culture's educational strategy.
  • Coordinate programme schedules, facilitator requirements, learning resources, and operational readiness.

Programme Development

  • Assist in developing educational workshops, learning materials, facilitator guides, activity sheets, and supporting resources.
  • Contribute to the creation of age-appropriate programmes for schools, families, universities, community groups, and lifelong learners.
  • Support the development of new educational initiatives and workshops in response to visitor feedback and curriculum developments.
  • Ensure programme content remains accurate, engaging, culturally authentic, and inclusive.

School & Educational Partnerships

  • Collaborate with the Schools & Groups Coordinator to support educational bookings and programme scheduling.
  • Liaise with schools, teachers, universities, and educational institutions to ensure successful programme delivery.
  • Support the collection of feedback from educators and participants to continuously improve educational offerings.
  • Maintain strong relationships with educational partners and stakeholders.

Programme Delivery Support

  • Ensure facilitators have all required materials, resources, and operational information before programme delivery.
  • Monitor programme delivery to ensure educational objectives, quality standards, and visitor expectations are achieved.
  • Support facilitators during workshops, tours, and educational activities when required.
  • Assist in coordinating educational activities during seasonal events, festivals, camps, and special museum programmes.

Visitor Learning & Engagement

  • Promote engaging, interactive, and inclusive learning experiences for visitors of all ages and abilities.
  • Support the development of educational activities that encourage active participation, curiosity, and cultural understanding.
  • Ensure programmes accommodate diverse learning styles and accessibility requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of the museum's educational visitor experience.

Resource & Administration

  • Prepare and maintain programme schedules, attendance records, learning resources, and educational documentation.
  • Monitor educational materials and coordinate replenishment of workshop supplies and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of programme participation, feedback, and educational outcomes.
  • Support the administration of educational bookings and programme logistics.

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor educational programme quality and ensure consistency across all learning activities.
  • Collect participant and educator feedback and assist in evaluating programme effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation of improvements based on visitor feedback, educational outcomes, and operational reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, health and safety requirements, and museum operational standards.

Reporting

Prepare and submit regular reports to the Programs Development Manager, including:

  • Educational programme delivery summaries.

  • School and educational group participation.

  • Workshop attendance statistics.

  • Visitor and educator feedback.

  • Programme evaluation outcomes.

  • Resource utilisation.

  • Recommendations for programme improvements and future development.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in education, museum learning, public programming, visitor engagement, cultural institutions, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating educational programmes, workshops, or learning activities.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

  • Experience working with schools, educators, children, families, or community groups.
  • Strong administrative and reporting skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple programmes simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Passion for education, heritage, and cultural engagement.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working within museums, heritage sites, cultural institutions, or visitor attractions.
  • Knowledge of UAE education frameworks, heritage, and cultural programmes.
  • Experience developing curriculum-linked educational activities.

  • Familiarity with visitor learning methodologies and informal education.

  • Additional language skills, particularly Arabic, are advantageous.

Required Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Museum Studies, Heritage Management, Cultural Management, Arts, Tourism, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications in Education, Museum Learning, Programme Development, or Child Protection are desirable.
  • First Aid and Safeguarding training are advantageous.

Location & Commitment

  • Full-time position.

  • 24-month fixed-term contract

  • Working 5 days per week, with flexibility to support operational requirements, seasonal programming, public holidays, special events, and emergency operational needs.
  • Regular presence across all Al Shindagha Museum pavilions and facilities.
  • Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
