The Y Wamberal OSHC offers a relaxed yet enriching Out of School Hours Care experience within a coastal community setting. Catering for Before School, After School and Vacation Care, the Centre provides children with a safe and engaging place to learn, play and connect.

Wamberal OSHC values balance, incorporating energetic outdoor play alongside creative and mindful activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests at their own pace, supporting confidence, resilience and positive relationships in a warm and inclusive environment.

Are you an experienced educator ready to step up and drive meaningful impact across programs, teams, and outcomes? We’re looking for a passionate Educational Leader to champion quality practice, mentor educators, and lift program excellence across our OSHC service.

This is more than an educator role — it’s a leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on coaching others, improving program quality, and delivering enriching experiences for children

You’ll work closely with the leadership team to:

  • Lead curriculum development aligned to My Time, Our Place
  • Drive continuous improvement and quality outcomes
  • Mentor and coach educators to build capability and confidence
  • Champion best practice in child development and program delivery

We’re looking for an experienced or advanced educator who is:

  • Confident leading practice and influencing others
  • Passionate about children’s learning and development

🧠 Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Experienced Educator (Cert III + 4+ years) or Diploma-qualified Advanced Educator
  • Strong understanding of child development and program planning
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and support educators
  • Experience leading or influencing program quality and continuous improvement

✅ Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III (minimum) or Diploma in Children’s Services (or equivalent)
  • Current First Aid, CPR & Child Protection Certification
  • Relevant OSHC / childcare experience

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
