Job Description

Creatively uses adult learning principles and project management skills to design and deliver engaging organization-wide education and training for professional development of employees and leadership. The coordinator ensures adherence to program policies, course objectives, program outcomes and current best practice and safety measures. Translates learning requirements into effective learning solutions and documentation. Serves as the educator and provides educational opportunities to develop and enhance written competencies for departments assigned.

The Educational Development and Community Education Department provides clinical and non-clinical education, professional development, leadership development, and community education across the organization.

Education Coordinator

Full-Time, Days

  • Creatively uses adult learning principles and project management skills to design and deliver engaging organization wide education and training for professional development of employees and leadership.
  • Translates learning requirements into effective learning solutions and documentation.
  • Serves as a resource regarding instructional design and delivery best practices, supportive media, authoring and web tools, and learning technology support.
  • Serves as the Support Services educator/Allied Health coordinator and provides educational opportunities to develop and enhance written competencies for Support Services and Clinical Support Services.
  • Will serve as the coordinator of assigned areas such as simulation/CME etc.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree in Healthcare, Training and Development, Instructional Design/eLearning, Education. or
  • 5+ years equivalent and demonstrated skills in education and professional work experience Associate's Degree-Paramedic- respiratory therapist
  • Three years of job related experience
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience developing engaging and interactive training materials in a variety of formats with authoring technologies, intranet design tools, and multimedia applications such as Adobe Presenter, Lectora and/or Toolbook, or similar product
  • BLS

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • 2 years healthcare related experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience in simulation
  • Experience in coordination accreditation
