Job Description

The Santa Fe College Little School provides early learning experiences and care for children ages 1-5 years. The Little School is a Teacher Training Site for Early Childhood Education students, as well as a research and observation site for students in other fields of study who are learning to work effectively with young children. The Little School is seeking Educational Aides with a positive attitude, welcoming body language, enthusiasm for helping children learn, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • Provides tender loving care and educational experiences for children of a designated age between 1-5 years.

  • Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.

  • Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Director, Little School

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.

Additional Requirements: A criminal background check and FL Clearinghouse screening will be conducted. For more information on FL Clearinghouse screenings, please visithttps://info.flclearinghouse.com Additionally, Educational Aides must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

Preferred Early Childhood Education major OR experience working in an Early Learning Center with children ages 1-5 years.

  • Detail Oriented - Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
