Normative Services Academy is an accredited program offering adolescent residential treatment to youth from multiple states on our 300-acre facility in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains near Sheridan, Wyoming.
Our mission is to help adolescents with emotional, social, and behavioral problems to become better equipped to reclaim their potential through experiential activities, education, and therapy. With our primary focus on student safety, accountability, responsibility, and respect, Normative Services has gained a reputation for providing innovative programming and treatment for our clients and customers

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Wyoming PTSB Certification or qualified
• Minimum of 21 years old due to state regulation
• No criminal convictions within the previous five years which are felonies, crimes against youth, domestic violence, assault, or violation of the Wyoming Substances Abuse Act.
• Employee must be capable of participating in physical activities and able to assist in the physical restraint of a student if necessary.

The Math Teacher provides education to students on their assigned subject matter and is an essential member of a team that helps youth make positive changes in their lives.

Your work schedule:
• Typically Monday through Friday
Your job duties will include:
• Stimulate interest in cooperation in individual and group classes and activities and observe youth behavior in response to treatment efforts.
• Provide a learning environment to motivate youth.
• Prepare daily lesson plans and instruction, providing supplemental attention to students as necessary.
• Prepare periodic and special evaluations through the Individual Service Plan (ISP) and IEP (if applicable) on their assigned youth, report significant changes in educational and social behavior and make recommendations for plan changes.
• Maintain proper norms and security of youth and provide crisis intervention as necessary.
• Assess each students learning style; design and implement curriculum, instructional strategies, and materials appropriate for the assigned youth.
• Ensure attendance of students in all classes and other activities and check on normative behavior.
• Complete all necessary paperwork to ensure proper recording of student progress, including daily attendance records, grade reports and other reports as required.
• Maintain emergency lesson plans for use by substitute instructors.

Founded in 1999, Sequel Youth & Family Services is a leading national behavioral health organization that develops and operates a broad continuum of treatment programs for children, adolescents, adults, and families with severe behavioral health, emotional, and physical challenges.
