Education Support Traineeship

Join Education Support Educators and make a meaningful difference in the lives of school students. This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, collaborative environment while working toward a nationally recognised qualification - Certificate III in School Based Education Support.

This position is not suitable for applicants who already hold a Certificate III in School Based Education Support or a higher .

Under the direct supervision of a classroom teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. You will work closely with students who have physical, intellectual, and/or multiple disabilities. Trainee may be required to undertake personnel care including toileting.

Schedule and Training Requirements:

  • Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 8.45-3.15 Mon Wed Thur Fri 8.45-3.40
  • Term Time: Based on-site supporting students and teachers.
  • School Holidays: You must attend AGA – Deer Park to complete the theory components of your Certificate III.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic physical and emotional care for students throughout the school day.
  • Deliver routine administrative and classroom support to teaching staff.
  • Maintain accurate, clear, and professional records and progress notes.
  • Assist in the implementation of tailored educational programs and activities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with students, staff, and families.
  • A nurturing and empathetic nature focused on student well-being.
  • High level of resilience and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong literacy skills for documentation and report writing.
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learning needs.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude.
