Position Type: Part-Time, Seasonal

Hours: 10–15 hours per week (Fridays and Saturdays)

Duration: 3 months

Location: City of Richmond

SUMMARY

We are seeking a reliable, customer-oriented Education Support Specialist to join our team for the upcoming fall season. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our weekend sports programs run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, active environment, loves interacting with the community, and has excellent situational awareness. You must be available to work flexible hours on both Fridays and Saturdays based on the game schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Game Oversight: Help monitor and oversee scheduled games to ensure a positive and organized environment for all participants.
• Safety & Security: Conduct mandatory ID checks for participants and maintain a safe, secure environment on-site.
• Customer Service: Act as the go-to point of contact for players, parents, and spectators, resolving on-the-spot customer needs and inquiries with a helpful attitude.
• Operations Support: Assist with event setup and teardown as needed to ensure games start on schedule.

Requirements & Skills

• Exceptional Punctuality: Proven reliability and a commitment to arriving early (prior to game start times) to prepare the site.
• Scheduling Flexibility: Ability to work varying shifts on Fridays and Saturdays depending on game schedules (exact times to be determined weekly).
• Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle fast-paced situations calmly and professionally.
• Sports Knowledge (A Plus): A general understanding or background in sports—specifically soccer—is highly preferred but not required.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and address minor issues or guest complaints immediately.
