
The Education Support Officer (Clinical – Macquarie Placements) provides high-level administrative and operational support to enable the effective delivery of clinical education and student placement activities for the Macquarie University Doctor of Medicine program, supporting students and staff across clinical placements based at Royal North Shore Hospital. Working closely with academic staff, Clinical School leadership, clinical educators and hospital partners, the role coordinates key education processes, maintains accurate systems and records, and supports compliance and reporting requirements to ensure a high-quality student and staff experience across clinical placements.
The role also provides advice and support to the Head of Clinical School on relevant university policies, procedures and business processes, and supports students throughout placement rotations, escalating issues where appropriate. A key focus is the coordination of orientation and induction activities, clinical assessments, and operational logistics (including teaching spaces, resources and communication) to ensure placement delivery aligns with curriculum requirements and professional standards.
Due to operational requirements, the successful candidate will be required to work predominately on-site.
