Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, xin chào! 👋

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can take time, so we’ll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

This role is based in Vietnam. We’re building Canva’s presence across Southeast Asia and empowering teams to do their best work wherever they are. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that helps them and their team achieve ambitious goals — whether that’s from home, in a co-working space, or collaborating in person when it counts.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. That’s all part of the fun. This role will give you the flavour of what you’ll be working on when you start — and like everything at Canva, it will continue to evolve.

As the Education Growth Lead (Vietnam), you’ll drive Canva’s awareness and adoption across the pre-sales education lifecycle — from K–12 through higher education and lifelong learning. Your focus will be on individual educators and students, building strong engagement before any institutional sales motion begins.

You’ll act as a single-threaded leader for Education growth in Vietnam — shaping strategy, influencing cross-functional partners, and executing with pace to grow Education Monthly Active Users (Edu MAUs) in-market. While this role doesn’t carry direct revenue targets, you’ll partner closely with our B2B Education Sales teams when institutional opportunities arise.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Education adoption strategy: Own the national education adoption strategy across K–20, focused on growing Canva usage among individual students, teachers, and educators. Partner closely with the Country Manager to set priorities and execute locally.
  • In-market execution: Lead Education initiatives locally, coordinating across marketing, content, community, product, and localisation partners to drive awareness, onboarding, and activation.
  • Onboarding & activation: Design and deliver education-focused onboarding programs, campaigns, and initiatives that help educators and students embed Canva into everyday teaching and learning workflows.
  • Local insight & feedback loop: Build deep insight into the local education landscape across K–12, tertiary, and lifelong learning. Translate educator and student needs into clear, actionable feedback for product, content, and localisation teams.
  • Education partnerships (non-commercial): Build and nurture partnerships with schools, education networks, NGOs, and educator communities to support adoption, training, and engagement. This role does not carry direct sales targets.
  • Community & advocacy: Represent Canva’s education mission locally through events, educator communities, conferences, and education initiatives aligned with country and global priorities.
  • B2B Education collaboration: Partner with Canva’s B2B Education and Sales teams when institutional opportunities arise, supporting pilots and activations while remaining focused on pre-sales education engagement and individual usage growth.
  • Measurement & optimisation: Track key education adoption signals — including onboarding, engagement, teacher activation, classroom usage, and school penetration — and use insights to continuously refine strategy and programs.

You’re probably a match if:

  • You have extensive experience growing a market, segment, or program — ideally in education, SaaS, consumer tech, or a mission-driven organisation
  • You have deep familiarity with Vietnam’s education ecosystem across K–12, higher education, or lifelong learning
  • You’ve worked directly with educators, students, or education organisations, and the government, and understand how adoption happens at scale
  • You’re a strong communicator, fluent in Vietnamese and English, confident engaging with educators, partners, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • You’re analytical and outcome-focused, comfortable turning data into insights and action
  • You’re product-minded, passionate about improving the experience of teachers and students
  • You’re aligned with Canva’s mission to empower the world to design — and excited to help every classroom in Vietnam unlock their creativity

About the team

You’ll be part of Canva’s International Supergroup — a diverse, distributed team of marketers, strategists, and growth leaders focused on expanding Canva’s presence in key global markets.

We partner closely with Marketing, Growth, Product, Sales & Success, Partnerships, Content, Finance, and Strategy to drive sustainable user and revenue growth internationally. In Vietnam, you’ll play a pivotal role in making Canva an indispensable part of teaching and learning across the country.
