Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support in designing, updating, and evaluating Youth Workforce curriculums.
- Facilitate youth workforce lessons for participants ages 14-24 years old enrolled in Work, Learn, & Grow (WLG), and the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).
- Model positive youth development and holistic practices.
- Accompany participants on trips and serve as a chaperone.
- Communicate with key stakeholders on the progress status of participants and students.
- Monitor programs activity, work readiness training, orientations, attendance etc.
- Responsible for overseeing Facilitators including interviewing, providing one on one supervision, ensuring that hours are not exceeded, providing a schedule etc.
- Meet with representatives of all school sites to develop and maintain positive
- relationships.
- Monitor attendance, enrollment, and program quality using internal and external databases (DYCD Connect, etc.).
- Assist with program audit compliance, including timely submission of reports and documentation.
- Build strong relationships with schools, parents/guardians, and community partners.
- Collaborate with the supervisor on training seasonal staff.
- Perform any and all tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelors Preferred.
- Strong curriculum development, facilitation, and classroom management skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with DYCD, DOE, or similar reporting systems a plus.
- Sense of humor.
- Willingness to listen to constructive feedback.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
