Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
- Certification in one of the following:
• Radiography (X-ray) Tech: R.T.(R)(ARRT)
• Radiation Therapy Tech: R.T.(T)(ARRT)
• Nuclear Medicine Tech: R.T.(N)(ARRT) or CNMT (NMTCB)
- 2 years of experience in medical imaging technology
Preferred:
Advanced certification in both CT and MR
Experience as a clinical preceptor or educator
Proficiency with online learning platforms (e.g., Canvas)
Experience in curriculum development
Background in student remediation, academic coaching, or learner assessment within a healthcare education environment

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The Center for Programs in Allied Health (CPiAH), housed within the Office of Health Sciences Education (OHSE) at VUMC, is dedicated to allied health education and workforce development. The CT and MR programs operate within the organizational structure and leadership framework of the Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) program, with shared oversight by the NMT Program Director and Clinical Coordinator. Program leadership collaboratively oversees curriculum development, clinical education, student support, and continuous quality improvement across these advanced imaging programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with organization, coordination, and evaluation of the education experience including creation and modification of didactic content
Communication with new and existing colleagues in either a didactic or clinical capacity to ensure high quality education experiences, and regularly seeks opportunities for growth and development in new clinical and didactic experiences
Assists in the planning and implementation for in-person and/or online classroom instruction
Assists in creating, proctoring, and grading student assessments
Provides tutoring and study assistance to students, as needed
Assist with monitoring student performance
Assist with providing student advising and remediation, as needed
Supports Program Director and Program Faculty towards achieving program goals
Technical Capabilities:
Radiology (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of radiology services in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
Anatomy & Physiology Knowledge (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of anatomy and physiology knowledge in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Compliance (Intermediate): Demonstrates knowledge of the appropriate rules and regulations and apply them in difficult, stressful and complex situations.
