BACKGROUND
The Om Habibeh Foundation (OHF) is an Egyptian non-profit organization established in 1991 under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity. As the implementing agency of the Aga Khan Foundation Egypt and an affiliate of the Aga Khan Development Network, OHF was founded by Om Habibeh Mohamed Shah Aga Khan to improve the quality of life of vulnerable communities in Aswan through sustainable development initiatives.
OHF works in partnership with local communities and stakeholders to promote inclusive and long-term development across a range of sectors, including education, early childhood development, civil society strengthening, agriculture and food security, economic inclusion, and women's empowerment. Through its integrated programmes, OHF seeks to expand opportunities, strengthen local capacities, and improve the social and economic well-being of underserved populations.
POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The Education Coordinator under the direct supervision of the Project Manager will provide technical support to the Teachers and government Kindergarten supervisors and will strengthen the programme relation with the officials in both directorates of Education and Social Solidarity. S/he will be responsible for making sure the programme is focusing on supporting and strengthening existing KGs and nurseries as well as strengthening and developing other related components to provide support to caregivers and families with young children, including in the home. Field work represents 80% of the working days.
The incumbent will work with governmental and non-governmental entities to get approvals and licences for building and upgrading the learning classes and achieve the objectives of the project.
