The role:

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring people who share our values to join our Outside School Hours Care teams across Northern Tasmania:

  • Norwood
  • Mowbray
  • Punchbowl
  • West Launceston
  • Newnham
  • Youngtown

In this role, you’ll support children aged 5-12 in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. Shifts are available before school and after school, - offering you genuine flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

The role you'll play:

  • Provide care for children with a focus on ensuring health, safety and wellbeing
  • Set up and deliver engaging play and learning environments and activities
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Support children’s social, emotional and physical development through fun, play-based programs

About you:

  • A genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing, and alignment with Lady Gowrie Tasmania’s Children First values
  • Experience working or volunteering with children (desirable)
  • A genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development
  • Hold or be actively working towards a certificate III or Diploma in Early Education and Care (desirable, but not essential)
  • Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (child-related activity – childcare services)
