The role:

We are seeking Education and Care Practitioners to join our Team. This is your opportunity to join a dedicated team at Alanvale Education and Care Service to deliver a quality play-based program for children's development.

In this role, you will:

  • Uphold the safety, rights and wellbeing of all children and promote a culture of child safety with a zero-tolerance approach to child maltreatment, abuse and neglect.
  • Provide meaningful and age-appropriate learning experiences that nurture children’s curiosity, creativity, and growth.
  • Actively supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Create engaging and welcoming room setups that promote exploration and learning
  • Document and reflect on children’s learning and development
  • Collaborate with families to build strong partnerships, share insights about children’s learning, and ensure continuity between home and the service.
  • Commit to your own professional growth and development
  • Always work in line with Lady Gowrie Tasmania’s policies, procedures, and the National Quality Framework

What you’ll bring:

  • An ACECQA-approved cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or Diploma in Early childhood Education and care.
  • Previous experience in a similar role and a demonstrated strong commitment to child safety
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, with willingness to learn and apply the Early Years Learning Framework
  • A current Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (child-related activity – childcare services)
