JOB SUMMARY:
Works collaboratively with members of the education department, employees, and the Director of Nursing at both Mountain View Hospital (MVH), Idaho Falls Community Hospital (IFCH), and affiliates. They are to assist in planning, implementing and evaluating educational activities for staff. This includes assisting with professional development, in-services and continuing education. Will be required to teach and follow American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines through the Mountain View Hospital Training Center. The roles of the Advanced Clinical Instructor includes promoter of evidence-based practice, educator, facilitator, collaborator, and advocate for safe quality patient care.

QualificationsEducation/Certification: Registered Nurse (RN), or Certified or Licensed Paramedic. ACLS and PALS instructor certification required within 3 months of hire—Mountain View Hospital Training Center will train employees to become instructor.
Experience: Five or more years’ experience in the field, computer skills, education/instructor experience preferred.
Equipment/Technology: Microsoft Office Suite, online learning management system (LMS) software, education and training equipment.
Language/Communication: Ability to read, speak, and write in English
Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills
Mental Capabilities: Ability to critically think, be self-motivated and individually manage tasks and responsibilities. Requires attention to detail and ability to assimilate large amounts of information.
Interpersonal: Effectively and professionally communicate with administration, managers, staff and coworkers.
Performance: Requires strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Requires ability to work independently and with groups/teams as an effective team member.
