What You Will Do

EssentialJobFunctions

EDM Setup, Programming & Operation – 60%

  • AnalyzeCADmodels,blueprints,andtechnicalspecificationstodetermineEDM machining approach with minimal supervision.
  • Setup,program,andoperatesinkerEDMmachinestoachieve+/-.0001accuracywith minimal supervision.
  • BegintodevelopandoptimizeEDMburnstrategies withEDMSinkerSpecialist III.
  • Monitormachiningprocessesandadjusttomaintaintolerancesandsurfacefinish requirements.
  • Moderateknowledgeoftooldesignandunderstandingoffitandfunctionofmold components.

CollaborationWithManufacturingGroups,TeamDevelopmentandStrategy15%

  • Work side by side with EDM Sinker Specialist III, collaborating with CNC, Toolmakers,andPolishingteamstoensurecomponentreadinessandaccuracy.
  • WorksidebysidewithEDMSinkerSpecialistIII,collaboratingandcoordinatingwith Designers, Electrode Designer and management on edm and tooling approach.
  • ProvidefeedbackondesignformanufacturabilityandEDM feasibility.

Troubleshooting,Maintenance&Optimization10%

  • DiagnoseandresolveEDMmachiningissues,includingburninconsistencies,electrode wear, and dimensional deviations with minimal supervision.
  • Performroutinemachinemaintenanceandensureequipmentisoperating efficiently.
  • Identifyandimplementprocessimprovementstoenhancecycletimeandquality with direction and collaboration from EDM Sinker Specialist III.

AdditionalResponsibilities(Secondary-~15%)

Education&ExperienceRequirements

  • Associateortechnicaldegreeinmachining,manufacturingtechnology,orrelated discipline OR a minimum of 3-5 years of sinker EDM experience.
  • Superiorexpertisein sinkerEDMsetup, programming,and operation.
  • Experienceachievingtight tolerances.
  • StrongunderstandingofEDMprinciples,electrodematerials,andburn strategies.
  • Proficiencyinblueprintreadingand GD&T.
  • ExperiencewithCADsoftware(Creo,Edrawings,Solidworks) preferred.
  • Strongproblem-solvingcapabilityandmechanical aptitude.
  • Extremelyhigh attentionto detail.
  • Highethicalstandards alignedwithIsometricCore Values.
  • Abilitytohandleconfidentialandproprietaryinformation appropriately.

Compensation Range: $30–$37 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
