Job Description

The Sportway Editorial & Content team is growing, and we are looking for an Editorial Operations Lead to join us. This role focuses on developing scalable content workflows and formats across Sportway's international projects and media properties — with opportunities to grow into editorial strategy, audience development, and international media operations. You will also support Sportway's regional markets as they build and scale their own content production.

In the first phase, you will take ownership of Sportway Sweden's content operations, including Swedish Ice Hockey TV (@svenskhockey.tv) — one of our flagship services covering over 50,000 games per season, including Europe's best junior leagues and the Swedish junior national teams, in close collaboration with Tre Kronor. Proven concepts will be reapplied in other Sportway markets and projects.

This position reports to Sportway Media Group’s HQ in Stockholm. 

Profile & Prior Experience

We are looking for someone with 3–6 years of experience in digital media, sports media, content production, or social media operations. You have previously coordinated creative or editorial workflows — briefing editors, managing freelancers, or running content calendars — and are ready to own that function end-to-end. Experience with live sports, live events, or creator-driven content is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day content operations and editorial planning

  • Coordinate workflows with freelancers, video editors, and content creators

  • Oversee distribution of content across streaming platforms and social media

  • Brief and quality-check video packaging for short-form and long-form formats

  • Maintain brand consistency across Sportway's consumer-facing properties

  • Plan and produce studio productions, interviews, and editorial formats

  • Develop editorial playbooks for international expansion

  • Monitor content performance and audience engagement and report to Sportway HQ

Required competencies

  • Experience managing social media channels and developing platform-specific content strategies

  • Proven ability to brief, direct, and quality-check video editors and creative contributors

  • Strong understanding of video production standards for both short-form and long-form formats

  • Highly organized, with experience managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously

  • Clear communicator, comfortable working across freelance networks and internal teams

Language skill requirements

  • English

  • Swedish

Additional languages are an advantage
