The Editorial Content Specialist owns the storytelling and product curation for apparel and center core. This individual helps translate the seasonal trend forecasting decks into marketing content across print, digital, email, broadcast, mobile, and social media to create cohesive and unified messaging. The role will work closely with his/her business and merchant office counterparts to ensure that all content aligns with seasonal must-haves, tentpole trends, designated themes and overarching corporate initiatives. This individual possesses a strong product sensibility and the ability to influence effectively at multiple levels.

What You Will Do

  • Stay informed on emerging fashion marketing trends through ongoing competitive analysis across fashion brands, magazines, digital guides, email, social media, and mobile applications
  • Proactively contribute fresh, innovative fashion marketing ideas across all channels
  • Adhere to and manage the marketing workflow calendar to ensure timely planning and execution of projects
  • Take an active and influential role in strategic fashion marketing initiatives in collaboration with marketing and creative partners
  • Own the fashion content marketing process from concept through execution
  • Partner with merchants on all marketing initiatives, including product direction, storytelling, sample collection, timelines, and MAS turn-in processes for: Full-price fashion books, digital email and social media content
  • Attend style-outs and present product selections to creative, marketing, and project management teams
  • Attend editorial campaign shoots as needed for owned campaigns.
  • Serve as an internal project manager, ensuring seamless execution across channels—from inception through completion—including:
    • Collaborating on marketing briefs
    • Overseeing print and digital turn-ins adhering to all deadlines and deliverables
    • Managing digital testing and product pools, including curation and build-out
  • Manage mid-tier campaigns and/or multiple smaller business areas simultaneously
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful environment that builds strong relationships and authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
  • Demonstrate consistent reliability through regular attendance, punctuality, and meeting all deliverables

Skills You Will Need

  • Storytelling and Content Creation: Proficiency in crafting compelling narratives and creating engaging content across various platforms including print, digital, mobile, and social media.
  • Fashion Marketing Expertise: Understanding fashion marketing principles, fashion trends, social media trends, and consumer behavior within the industry.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute innovative ideas to enhance fashion marketing strategies across all channels.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges and shifts impacting deliverables.
  • Collaboration and Influence: Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including merchandising, project management, creative, and marketing, with the ability to influence decisions and align content with overarching objectives.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in coordinating marketing initiatives, including product direction, sample collection, and adherence to workflow calendars.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present ideas and articulate concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Proactive in staying updated with emerging fashion trends and conducting competitive analysis across various media channels.
  • Leadership and Initiative: Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and initiatives, leading mid-tier campaigns or smaller business areas effectively.
