The eDiscovery Project Manageroversees the execution of litigation support projects and is ultimately responsible for the quality and timeliness of each project. Builds relationships with clients, learning each client’s technical specifications and advising on best practices when appropriate. Identifies potential project problem areas and solves those problems before and as they arrive.

As the eDiscovery Project Manageryou will be part of the TLS global information security management team responsible for the risk management, policies and procedures for the Australian information security management system (ISMS) pertaining to ISO27001 security standards. This role ensures that TLS Australia follows the policies and procedures defined in the ISMS, that those procedures are up-to-date based on current identified risks, that new policies and procedures are implemented as needed by the business, and that policy owners maintain their procedures according to defined review schedules. In addition, this role will serve as the main point of contact for TLS’s Australia’s security stance and incident management as well the domain expert for security related components of client projects.

Position responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the execution of litigation support projects
  • Oversee full life cycle of projects according to client parameters
  • Track delivery schedules, ensuring proper quality assurance, and manage changes in work scope
  • Communicate with clients and proactively offer solutions to improve their workflow through the life cycle of a case
  • Be available to answer client questions about web hosting software and perform various administrative functions of the application(s) to meet clients’ needs
  • Monitor multiple projects and jobs to ensure deadlines are met
  • Work with Relativity and LAW to execute document productions, including bates stamping, creating load files and performing OCR
  • Design custom event handlers and Relativity Scripts to improve workflow
  • Work closely with production staff to ensure proper allocation of resources based on deadlines and priorities set by the client
  • Serve as a liaison between the production staff, and the client during the life cycle of a project
  • Develop and utilize strong analytical skills to research potential solutions and determine appropriate course of action
  • Ensure jobs are completed according to client, and industry standards, and that job specifications and deadlines are met
  • Attend client meetings with sales teams to assist in closing deals
  • Perform other special projects or duties when required
  • Work with the global ISMS team to identify risk and contribute to policy development and implementation of a continuously evolving ISMS, including business operational policies, threat prevention, regulatory requirements, business continuity, and disaster recovery systems and processes that are documented, tested, and maintained within the ISMS system.
  • Ensuring ISMS policies and procedures are being followed and adhered to, covering all aspects of the ISMS from clean desk policies, to ensuring validity of system log files and the integrity of data replication / backups.
  • Ensuring that members of the TLS team security training is UpToDate and they continue to read and understand all policies in the ISMS and have received security training relevant to their job functions.
  • Ensuring that policy owners with the ISMS have reviewed / updated their documentation according to the procedure review lifecycle.
  • Ensuring security and system access (physical and logical) is audited on regular basis conforming to the principle of least privilege (PoLP)
  • Identification of ISMS continuous improvement opportunities with TLS Australia.
  • Main point of contact for incident management and security breaches
  • Main point of contact for internal and external audits, including client audits.
  • Active member of the global ISMS implementation team for TLS

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s or JD Degree
  • At least 2 years of eDiscovery project management experience required; vendor preferred
  • Working knowledge of operations, including document imaging, printing, coding, and electronic data processing
  • Experience with Digital Reef, Relativity, IPRO, LAW PreDiscovery, Concordance, Summation or other review database applications is a must
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications including MS Access required
  • Available to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Available by phone or email when out of the office as needed
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be a high-level problem solver and have high multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrated high level skills in relationship management, influencing, negotiating, consulting, and communicating, both oral and written, on complex issues including effective expectations management in an environment of conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated high level of competence in developing documentation, managing procurement and selection processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise with information management systems, secure data management techniques, risk assessment, and technical security policies and procedures.
  • Brings a practical knowledge of technology, internal audit, external audit or ICT security practices with experience in undertaking reviews within public sector and/ or private sector organizations

Desired skills:

  • Knowledge of SQL and/or Visual Basic
  • RCA certification
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows end user device Operating Systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • ISO27001 or similar certifications experience an advantage.
