The Opportunity:
2026 marks 300 years since the Faculty of Medicine was founded at the University of Edinburgh. Under the guidance of archivists at the University’s Centre for Research Collections, the intern will conduct research to uncover the hidden, untold stories of Edinburgh Medical School’s past and celebrate diversity throughout our history. Their findings will contribute to the ongoing EMS300 projects, including but not limited to Learning from Our History Walking Tours, Digital Representations of Historical Spaces, and alumni projects. They will work with the other Archives Intern to form the groundwork for scheduled student archive-athons and help shape communications, activities and events throughout the year.

This post is part time (15 hours per week). We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
