Job Overview
The EDI Tester ensures the reliability and accuracy of B2B integrations by validating EDI message flows and transformation logic. This role plays a key part in maintaining data integrity and partner compliance by testing end-to-end transaction scenarios and supporting continuous integration efforts.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for APIs and EDI transactions to ensure accurate and reliable data exchange.
• Validate EDI X12 message formats and transformations to meet business and partner requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects in integration workflows, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform end-to-end testing of EDI processes, including message routing, error handling, and system interoperability.
• Work closely with technical analysts to understand integration requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business goals.
• Support regression, performance, and user acceptance testing to ensure system stability and readiness for production deployment.
• Maintain test documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and integration quality.

Qualifications

• Proficient in testing Mulesoft APIs and EDI transactions, with strong understanding of EDI standards such as X12 and related data mapping and transformation processes.
• Skilled in working with various data formats including XML, CSV, JSON, and flat files, with the ability to validate and troubleshoot data structure and content.
• Understanding of SAP OTC systems and data structures, with experience testing integrations to/from SAP modules (preferred)
• Skilled in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and defect tracking using tools like Postman, JIRA, or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data flows and identify root causes of integration issues.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers and analysts.
• Demonstrated experience in testing within enterprise integration environments, ideally involving Mulesoft and EDI systems.
