Job Description

EdgeOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

    • Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for internal teams and external clients.

    • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and remediate issues to ensure optimal uptime.

    • Maintain secure, reliable, and uptodate hardware and software environments.

    • Lead and execute daytoday IT operations related to Edge infrastructure.

    • Document troubleshooting procedures, operational workflows, and maintenance activities to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing

    • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and implement updates and enhancements.

    • Enforce security standards and compliance requirements across all supported systems.

    • Ensure alignment with company policies, operational frameworks, and industry best practices

Required Competencies

  • Primary Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in:

    • VMware vSphere and vCenter

    • VMware Aria Operations

    • vSAN / NAS technologies

    • Solid experience in Linux system administration (RHEL 7 / 8 / 9).

    • Ability to perform hardware monitoring and provide production support

    • Hands‑on experience with backup and recovery solutions such as Veeam and Rubrik

    • Strong understanding of security principles, controls, and operational security practices

    • Advanced troubleshooting and problemsolving capabilities.

    • Working knowledge of ITIL service management frameworks (Incident, Problem, Change, Request).

  • Secondary Technical Skills

    • Ability to prepare highlevel technical and operational documentation (optional).

    • Experience managing data center infrastructure hardware

    • Knowledge of platforms such as:

    • Dell VxRail

    • Lenovo Xclarity

    • HPE SimpliVity

    • Exposure to enterprisescale infrastructure environments

    • Experience or understanding of disaster recovery planning and execution

    • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Nagios, Grafana, and Splunk

    • Basic understanding of automation tools and infrastructure automation concepts
