Your Job

  • Provide senior-level support for EDA compute clusters supporting simulation, physical verification, OPC, lithography, signoff, and tapeout workloads.
  • Operate, optimize, and troubleshoot IBM LSF and other batch scheduling environments supporting high-throughput engineering workloads.
  • Analyze and resolve job failures, hung jobs, queue bottlenecks, license constraints, compute-node issues, and workload performance problems.
  • Provide technical ownership for hybrid EDA HPC platforms spanning on-premises infrastructure and AWS-based compute environments.
  • Support and optimize EDA storage services, including NFS, NetApp ONTAP, AWS FSx, S3, and related high-performance file services.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation that improves EDA operations, observability, reliability, and support efficiency.
  • Own and resolve complex ServiceNow incidents, requests, problems, and changes associated with EDA computing services.
  • Lead root-cause analysis, coordinate planned system changes, and provide concise technical status updates during critical incidents.

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience for MTS or minimum 10 years of relevant experience for Senior MTS in EDA computing, HPC, Linux infrastructure, storage, cloud, or production engineering support.
  • Strong experience supporting EDA computing, HPC, or large-scale Linux production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise batch scheduling platforms, preferably IBM LSF.
  • Strong Linux system administration skills, particularly on RHEL-based platforms.
  • Hands-on Bash scripting capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate complex production incidents, identify root causes, and implement sustainable technical solutions.
  • Travel: Up to 10%.

  • Experience with AWS or another cloud platform supporting HPC or engineering workloads.
  • Experience with NetApp ONTAP, NFS, AWS FSx, S3, or other high-performance storage technologies.
  • Python automation experience.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, dashboarding, capacity reporting, and operational analytics.
  • Ability to innovate and execute solutions in technically complex and ambiguous environments.
